Thinking about your future? The Australian Skills Vouchers Programme is an Australian Government initiative, allowing eligible participants to undertake training with Directions Australia designed to improve your work skills and help further you in your career.

Work Skills Vouchers
You may be entitled to a Work Skills Voucher worth up to $3000 to undertake your choice of any Certificate ll course that Directions Australia offer. Your Work Skills Voucher will completely cover the cost of your course with Directions Australia, including tuition and all learning materials.
Choose from the following courses:

 

Work Skills Vouchers eligibility
Australian citizens or permanent residents aged 25 years and over who do not have a Year 12 (or equivalent) qualification or a Vocational Certificate ll qualification are eligible to apply for a Work Skills Voucher.
A statutory declaration will need to be completed by each applicant verifying that you have not previously completed a Year 12 certificate or certificate ll or higher level qualification. You will also need to show additional documents to apply, such as Australian passport, Australian birth certificate or evidence of citizenship.

How do I apply for a voucher?
Step 1 Contact Directions Australia
Register your interest with Directions Australia under Contact Us. The staff at Directions Australia can assist you with any initial queries you may have and provide you with a registration form to fill out.

Step 2 Check Eligibility
Carefully read through the eligibility requirements and decide whether you qualify. For confirmation and to answer any queries or concerns, contact a staff member at Directions Australia.

Step 3 Gather Evidence
Gather the appropriate evidence needed to prove your eligibility.

Step 4 Return Forms and Evidence.
Return the registration form and applicable evidence so Directions Australia may register you for your voucher.

Step 5 Receiving and using your Voucher
Work Skills Vouchers will be issued by DEST via mail directly to the individual approved to receive the voucher.
Programme participants will need to present their voucher to Directions Australia where they are enrolled on commencement of their approved course/qualification as payment for your chosen course.
Vouchers issued as part of the Programme are not redeemable for cash.

Step 6 Begin your training
Now that payment has been received, training may begin once course details have been confirmed.

Step 7 Completion of your training
You will be sent a nationally recognised certificate and any residual funds on your voucher you can use to upgrade your skills.
